Kirsten Simone is an American writer and actor from the United States. Her name was famous for her role as Penelope Garcia on the TV show Criminal Minds, a police procedural/crime drama. Kirsten Simone Vangsness has also been a guest on the two spinoff series Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders' and Criminal Minds: Speculative Behavior. While she is primarily a TV actress however, she has had a few small roles in films since making her first appearance in the show business in the year 1998. The notable roles she has played in the film industry include her roles in the film 'In My Sleep The Chicago 8', and 'Kill Me, Deadly'. She's written for The Los Angeles Times and co-wrote episodes of "Criminal Minds". She is a lover of animals and especially cats. She often rescues and rehabilitates injured and abandoned cats.
